Silly dog

What a silly day
You have brought this way
I cannot thank you
For how much I grew

I took you for a walk
Thinking you could not talk
I didn't know what to say
When I learned your way

You told me about the squirrels
How they made your head twirl
With their constant noise spawn
Until the day's dawn

You expounded on protecting the neighborhood
From the devious uniformed men, as you should
For they go to everyone's door
Looking for more

The giant metal beast that humans trust
You will continue to try to make them bust
Their tiny little legs move faster life
That is why you try to remove them with your teeth knife

Oh silly dog, what can I say
When you have told me your way
