Cloudy Night

I went out side to see a site

Nothing was as it should have been

The moon was hiding

For it was cloudy outside.

There were claims

That the night would be great

For the moon was as large as can be, so

I went out side to see a site

Looking up into the sky

Searching for the light of time

I looked and looked, but

Nothing was as it should have been

I could not see the stars

I could not see the sky

I could not see the light of the moon

The moon was hiding

Disappointment raced through me

I was not going to see

The great site of the night

For it was cloudy outside.
