Baking mats are one alternative to keeping your cookie sheets clean and reducing the amount of clean up needed after cooking.  They provide a non-stick surface without the use of oils or sprays.  This baking mat has the added benefit of visual cues of where to place your cookies on the mat to provide even spacing.

After the first cooking event my baking mat had become stained (this is part of the reason that I gave the product a 4 out of 5 stars instead of a 5 stars).

According to the box the mat is made in China.  The instruction for the product indicates that the baking mat should be thrown away if it has any cuts or creases.
