Treasure

As I wonder
I begin to ponder,
What will the day bring
So that I may sing?

I look all around
And don't hear a sound.
I see something glow
As I begin to blow.

I rush over to collect my treasure.
It is too small to measure.
The round edges show
A brilliant glow.

I gather them up
In a cup.
Will not my mother be proud
And praise me with good sounds.

When I got home
My mother told me to come.
So off I went to show
What I found to glow.

To my surprise
She did not give me a prize
For the treasure I found
On the ground.
