US Art Supply Table Top Aluminum Artist & Display Easel (Large - Single Arm) Sold by: TCP Global Corp This product is light and made of strong aluminum.  The tray is 1 inch deep by 16 inches long and has a 1/4 inch front lip running the whole length of the tray.  The lip does not cause any problems unless you have a canvas that greater than 3/4 inch in depth.  3/4 inch to 1 inch in depth it hinders the ability to paint to the bottom of the canvas.  The one I got measured 22 inches from the center of the tray to the tip of the arm.  Due to the A frame type back I would not use it on a canvas that is much smaller than a 8 x 10 inch. The hat is made from a thick soft black material.  The hat appears to be of good quality material.
