It took me a while to figure out how to use this product.  There are some videos for similar products were people are pressing garlic with it.  I tried to press thing with this product and it did not work that well.  I then tried to use it like a cheese grater and it worked.  When using it like a cheese grater it takes off small amount of material from the top.  The problem with using it like a cheese grater is that it is not really shaped that well to use as a grater (kind of awkward holding it).  The shape allows for easy cleaning.

I used this product on many different items.  It works well on hard foods like: potatoes, ginger, and other items.  It does not work very well in soft foods such as: apples, cucumbers, and other such items.
